Anti-oppression involves deconstructing the oppressive facets of the dominant culture that one has internalized (i.e. sexism, the patriarchy, racism, ableism etc).


It is through becoming aware, then through deconstructing one's colonial baggage, that one becomes anti-colonial. The same is true for other systems of oppression. [1]
